Fair processes that protect employers and employees.

What does disciplinary action mean?

Disciplinary action is the formal process an employer uses when concerns arise about an employee’s behaviour or performance.

This can include informal conversations, written warnings, or, in serious cases, dismissal. The aim is to address problems in a fair and consistent way, not simply to punish. For employers, it’s about protecting the business and applying procedures lawfully. For employees, it’s about ensuring your rights are respected and your voice is heard.

Handled correctly, disciplinary action can resolve issues early, improve performance, and reduce conflict. Handled badly, it can lead to grievances, claims, and broken trust.

How Taurus can help with dicisplinary action

We support both employers and employees through the disciplinary process.

For employers, we can draft or review procedures, provide step-by-step advice, and even attend meetings to make sure everything is handled appropriately. For employees, we’ll explain your rights, prepare you for hearings, and help you put your case across clearly.

Our aim is to take the uncertainty out of a stressful process, replacing it with fairness and structure. With the right approach, disciplinary action becomes less about confrontation and more about finding solutions.

I would wholeheartedly recommend Taurus HR Solutions for all your HR needs. They provided a personal and professional service that ensures peace of mind in the workplace. I am grateful for their dedicated service and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an HR firm they can trust.

By using the services of a claims Management firm, it does not mean your claim will be resolved more quickly, or have a better prospect of success, or a better outcome, than if you were to make the claim yourselves for free.
